FARMS Project

The Solar and Storage Industries Institute (SI2) and project partners National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA), and Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) have been selected for funding through the Department of Energy Solar Energy Technology Office (SETO) Foundational Agrivoltaic Research for Megawatt Scale (FARMS) grant to execute a 2-year study of the technical and financial barriers to deploying large-scale agrivoltaic projects nationwide.

Solar essay Contest for High School Students

The Solar and Storage Industries Institute (SI2) is launching a national essay contest for high school students in 9th through 12th grade to inspire the next generation of solar leaders to lend their voice to the future of renewable energy.

The objective of the contest is to raise awareness about the benefits of solar energy, encourage students to consider careers in clean energy, and build support for solar energy and storage among legislators.
